Ambient Safety Intelligence
nami is currently advancing its roadmap to bring Ambient Safety Intelligence to the Care market, building on its proven Fusion Sensing foundations with aiAware and aiCare. By combining Wi-Fi sensing with complementary sensing modalities, nami is developing a new generation of care solutions designed to deliver higher reliability, richer context, and improved safety outcomes for vulnerable residents—while remaining non-intrusive and easy to deploy.
As part of this evolution, nami is augmenting its platform with additional sensing layers, including the integration of a dedicated, field-proven wearable device for fall detection and panic alerts, connected via Thread mesh networking to the nami border router. In parallel, nami is developing mmWave radar integration for fall detection, also leveraged as an active Wi-Fi beacon, as well as an in-house acoustic and Wi-Fi sensing device capable of detecting distress, abnormal sounds, and contextual events. These sensing technologies are designed to work together within a unified system architecture.
Our roadmap enables a unique three-stage approach to personal safety and awareness:
Stage 1: Relies on Wi-Fi sensing to provide continuous, passive activity and presence awareness.
Stage 2: Fuses Wi-Fi with ambient sensors to improve accuracy and contextual understanding.
Stage 3: Ambient Safety Intelligence Systems add wearables, radar, and acoustic sensing, orchestrated through cross-logic analytics, to deliver unrivaled safety coverage, redundancy, and responsiveness for care environments.
